8/22/25 I respect the honest, accurate service & also appreciate the durable auto parts from Napa, which E & J uses. I just got an installation of a new altinator (Sp?) & battery for my 2011 car for $1770. While parts for an older car are somewhat more expensive, but should it be 18% higher than average, per Kelley Blue Book average for this replacement & area, including pricey Oak Park?

Called to ask for an estimate. They said they don't do estimates over the phone. Mention that it was about maintenance. Definitely not too welcoming or friendly. From previous experiences. The positive is that they fix cars properly. The negative, dealership level costs, and more expensive on at least some maintenance items. Listening is also another issue.
