I get extremely nervous about taking my car to anywhere new, but my regular shop doesn't do smoke testing for evap leaks and that's beyond the scope of what I feel comfortable doing myself, so I had no choice to look elsewhere. I swear to God, my car is the most temperamental princess you've ever met--it has a mind of its own and gets grumpy when I let anyone touch it but me. I picked this shop for the great reviews and prayed my car would behave. The repair cost a bit more than I expected based on the cost of the part, but I needed it done and didn't want to shop around so gave the green light for the repair and change spark plugs while they were at it (I was feeling lazy). I deleted a whole paragraph on how my car threw a fit, not necessary to review but yes of course it did NOT behave and ended up having to get towed back to the shop the next morning which the owner arranged for me when I called! Ideally I was praying I wouldn't be charged extra since my car clearly was acting up because of the tuneup, but practically I know there was extra time put into the car, plus a tow, and everyone deserves to get paid for their time. To my relief, when I picked up the car for the final time, no extra charge, just apologies for keeping the car overnight and an explanation of what they did to get her to quit having a fit 😂 You can tell from interacting with the mechanics, the service advisor and the owner that they genuinely care about their work and are committed to making things right when something goes wrong. That's a gem these days. They're also partnered with RepairPal so if you know what needs to get done, you can get a quote online and request that specific repair through them for a fair price! Will definitely be recommending them to my clients and family!

Drove in to get my tire fixed I had a slow leak. Very friendly and took care of my tire quickly at a reasonable price. So glad they’re close to my house like walking distance it’s good to have a mechanic you could depend on close to home

My car was having intermittent issues starting. E & J replaced my starter for over $600 instead of the much cheaper solution that was staring them right in the face (replacing the hardware that holds my car’s battery in place) 🙃 They even noted that the battery hardware was an issue in their diagnostic and chose to advise me to make the more expensive repair. I nearly got stranded in another state the day after I picked up my car from their shop because the problem was, in fact, not resolved, and my car still refused to start. When I called to ask what they could do for me, since they sold me a very expensive part I didn’t need, they advised me to bring it back to them to further diagnose the problem and offered no other recourse. I had already lost my trust in them, though, and did not want to give them any more of my money—the potential that they’d sell me another expensive part was far too risky. I’ve had so many bad experiences with mechanics in the past (the first mechanic I ever visited literally told me ‘not to break a nail’), and I’m disappointed that I have to add this experience to that list. Honestly, it’s comical that four former theatre majors stuck in Wisconsin jiggling a car battery until it spurred to life (with gloves, of course, we’re not *insane*) could figure out what was wrong with my car when E & J couldn’t. (This was later confirmed and remedied by another mechanic.)

Have come hear multiple times. Alex and the crew at E & J Auto are awesome. They do good work, are helpful, and very professional. I highly recommend them to anyone.

It's my first time to write positive google review (just one negative before). This is because their service worth it. I spent $65 for mechanical check. 1. They examined my car very careful. They found a bolt was missing. 2. They will take photo to generate a complete, user-friendly digital report 3. They wrote me hand-written advertisement letters. How rare it is at this time.

We have used E and J Auto on many times for our two vehicles ( Toyota Sienna and Subaru Outback) They are always prompt, professional, and upfront about any service needed and the costs involved.
